You know what's crazy though, mainstream wise, not many people know who Carl Froch is in the US. Which sucks because he had the toughest string of fights from 2008-2014 of like almost anyone in that span, def top 3. But also, even less people know George Groves.

i would think the opposite stateside. i believe alot of people watch his fights on youtube and other sites.

Nobody will forget Carl Froch, and George Groves will always be known as the guy Carl Froch annihilated with one punch.

Groves was always a tad delusional, but that right hand from Froch has pushed him to Amir Khan level delusional.

Imo it's the same in the UK, Froch never fully crossed over in terms of being a household name. He was getting there, but then he retired.

That said, he won't be forgotten here by boxing fans because he's going to be on Sky Sports as a boxing pundit every weekend.

He crossed over in so much as the vast majority who follow sports also knew who Froch was, and thats the perfect group you want to be interested in your fights.

You are right though he was never a huge star that housewives and kids would recognise.
