He could've... I do believe Canelo's speed and agility would give him problems though. But Tito was tough and persistent. Very intriguing matchup, never had thought of it before.

TITO has only lost to the best defensive fighters, Bernard, Jones, and Winky Wright. The guy never cheated the rules in NY is different when it came to wrapping, Nazeem made sure Tito was following them. But Tito never had any plaster or whatever in his wraps. He had knockout power and whoever got hit was getting knocked out. And Mayorga at the time was in his prime never touched the canvas.

NAAZIM RICHARDSON RESPONDS TO JOPPY'S COMMENTS ON TRINIDAD'S WRAPS: "IT AIN'T LIKE THE MARGARITO THING"
If they said we were fighting him in New York, okay then, y'all have an argument, but they weren't talking about his hand wraps when they made the fight. So by them not making it an issue, because they fought him in New York too, he knocked you out, you gotta live with it," he explained. "See, the way Margarito was getting his hands wrapped, that **** was illegal in MMA and every other sport and in every state. I can see if William [Joppy] was making that argument about Margarito, but with Tito, he just tried to wrap his hands...it could be an honest mistake."
"The Tito thing I think was more of ignorance. It was the fact that they were used to wrapping his hands like that all the time and most of the places you fight, like Vegas and everything, it's cool to wrap like that. So when they came to New York, they didn't think nothing of it. They just wrapped his hands the way they always wrap his hands. Well, we working by and abiding by the rules of New York, so I argued the case. But it ain't like the Margarito thing where he was blatantly trying to pull one off. One was ignorance and one was illegal."

A blown up Jr Middleweight was unable to knock down A huge Middleweight known for his iron chin
Lets not even bring up the fact that Titos Wraps are LEGAL everywhere but NY...its a technicality not even close to Margaritos situation

Yes he was a world class fighter otherwise he would have never beaten prime Forrest. Whether he lost to other welters or not is not the issue you said he dixnt show power even though he was the first man to drop mayorga. Also Bernard hopkins is something else maybe the greatest middleweight of all time and even at almost 50 lightheavyweight kovalev couldnt stop him.
