To be fair if you lose too many big fights in boxing you're not going to be continue to be considered for those fights.In the Ufc a guy like Sonnen can get knocked out,move up a division be knocked out again and still be in demand.

Because often in boxing, hype jobs get exposed everyday. They get protected and come up the easy way and get exposed so badly at some point for what they really are. MMA is more systematic where as when you win you fight the guy in front of you and you rinse and repeat until you get to the top. You could lose 5-10 fights on the way but when you get to the top you're proven and you've fought literally EVERYONE. Sometimes TWICE.

I don't think he's ever said he has no respect for MMA. If he did in the past he's certainly changed his tune in the last few years. I think his only MMA beefs are with Dana White & Ronda Rousey cuz they've criticised Mayweather at various times. He just met with UFC champ Chris Weidman a couple months back.
