BoxingScene.com has been advised that a deal is close for former three division world champion Adrien Broner (30-2, 22KOs) to face former beltholder Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9KOs) for the vacant WBA 'regular' junior welterweight championship on October 3rd either in Las Vegas or Cincinnati. The televised outlet is unknown at the moment.

Man idk if many people are even keeping track these days who's a "real" real champion & who's the "fake" real champion which is what all this regular/super **** is at the end of the day cuz GGG (granted he does hold a "real" real one too), Daniel Jacobs, Erislandy Lara & Keith Thurman are holding "fake" real titles. Actually I think Thurman might have gotten a raise out the blue recently, but I think Mayweather might still be the Super Duper champion above him or some such nutty ****. But its all a cluster**** of bs & more bs title holders & contenders & every day the value of being a "champion" goes lower & lower.Comment

Makes Sense. You knew they were going try to get Broner a belt in a 4th division against the easiest name they could find.
Broner can hang with most of the 140s if he can control his weight but has shown he can't compete at 147 with the big dogs.Comment
