Welcome to boxing for the last several decades. Its hard for a good boxer who can generate money to NOT get a title shot in this era when there are 4-6 champions per division of varying levels of respect & up to 40 boxers who can claim to be top ten ranked guys per division.

When the alphabet groups get 3% of the purses of the boxers involved in title fights it pays better to have certain guys holding or fighting for their titles. Mayweather isn't just holding onto titles in two divisions just cuz he's good its cuz the alphabet groups want 3% of those $30M, $90M, $250M paydays Mayweather gets.

Is it a proper title shot though? the WBA regular isn't a real title, or is it the Super belt?
