Comments Thread For: Khan Reacts To 'Childish, Cherry Picker' Mayweather

Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) has responded to Floyd Mayweather's recent comments regarding a potential fight between the two of them.

While being pressed for a reason as to why he selected Andre Berto as his September 12th opponent - and why he picked Berto instead of Khan - Mayweather implied that Khan should fight, and beat, Danny Garcia.

Garcia stopped Khan in four rounds in 2012. Khan has tried to get a rematch with little success. Last Saturday, Garcia moved up to the welterweight division where Khan currently resides.

Mayweather has made a career out of ducking and cherrypicking his opponents .

"He's putting up all these obstacles in front of me because he knows that obviously I'm a big threat to him"

This guy really has no sense of irony, does he?

Khant has the nerve to talk about Floyd and hasn't even faced good competition recently. Even then, he's looked terrible too. Basically Khan is bad mouthing Floyd for doing something HE himself is doing against Brook. He's a hypocrite and I'm glad Floyd hasn't given him the fight.

Khan's upset that he got exposed in the Algieri fight.

I will be honest, Khan at this current stage in his career, he won't be remembered in boxing history AT ALL. He is not A All Time Great, Khan is not even a Hall Of Fame Quality Fighter yet, not even close!

Time to focus on building your OWN LEGACY and stop worrying about Mayweather Legacy which is way higher than yours will every be.

                  Spot on

Floyd is indeed ducking Khan, and Thurman

The problem is Floyd knows his limitations, he is older and wiser, he knows what he can get away with and what he cant get away with

Khan win or lose, will make Floyd work every second of every round, unless Floyd can score a KO, which is highly unlikely given his problematic hands. Floyd has weighed the risk ratio, and he deems it far to risky, its the same for Thurman

Floyd told Kahn to fight Garcia and told Thurman to fight Spence....that alone should tell you Floyd is scared

You look at Floyds last few fights, a old faded out version of Pac, a weight-drained inactive Canelo, and 2 struggle wins over Maidana.

Classy response from King Khan. Amir will continue to fight the best, most dangerous opponents out there.
