Not true. It was widely reported that HBO would not agree to air the Geale fight unless Cotto agreed to fight Canelo next.

Canelo and GB should walk. The reality is Cotto's not fighting GGG, and Roc isn't fighting Haymon with a Floyd rematch. Canelo is Cotto's only big payday and big payday, to get him back in thw game for a Mayweather rematch. If Cotto wins and calls out Floyd. Even Haymon will work with Roc then, for the money

There is only one difference between Oscar and RNS. One of them has no one but Canelo to make money off of. RN only has Ward other than Cotto, but they have a ton of sports athletes they are agents for, they don't NEED this fight. Cotto doesn't NEED this fight either, he just got money from RocNation, he's paid.

The ONLY one that needs this to happen is Oscar, he lost all his talent to Haymon. Any talent with a fingernail of star power left. The combination of the availability of Mandalay Bay, the MGM still being part of the event at its sister property and Golden Boy agreeing to guarantee Roc Nation the same revenue as it would have gotten from the bigger offer from Madison Square Garden got the site deal done.
