The things tou're talking about correcting would more or less make him a perfect fighter, is there no middle ground for you? I never said I would bet on him, and I have said numerous times that to me, niether of them have lived up to the hype, and he needs to pace himself better, lose some weight, and possibly his trainer, but 3 losses in 46 fights makes him a shot fighter? C'mon man, he's not the greatest, but to say he's shot is reaching a little. I'll tell you what, if you can go out and beat 43 professional tomato cans, 39 by KO in whatever your weight class is, I'll be your biggest fan lol. I'll start up a fan club and everything, I'll be the most shameless fanboy you ever saw! lol
How bad does a fighter have to be before you give up on him?

I think I've given up on Holyfield. The guy just can't do much of anything anymore. And, he needs to stop coming in and out of retirement. At least Tyson is still in there, not in and out. I was a big Holyfield fan. But, i can't stand watching these former greats just not be able to let go of the past.Comment

This is ****ing brillant stuff right here. I whole heartdely agree!!Originally posted by vB MartinYes, I'm talking about Wlad.
He lost spectacularly to Sanders, a man with a punch, but also a man who was brought in as "opponent" only. He considers himself more a pro golfer than pro boxer, for christ's sake.
He went on to fight and defeat 2 corpses, one of whom had never fought outside Argentina.
Then, after hitting Lamon Brewster with everything he had, he got KO'd again, in spectacular fashion, crawling towards his corner after the bell like a whipped dog.
He comes back against yet another "opponent" in Davarryl Williamson, gets knocked down, is losing energy chasing TOS around the ring, and luckily wins because the fight is stopped on cuts. He may have won had the fight gone the distance, but it certainly wasn't assured. He was doing nothing to hurt Williamson and Williamson was looking fresh for the home stretch. It easily could have gone either way.
I've been a fan of boxing my entire life, and I have never seen anything like the fans who stand behind this once "Man Who Would Be King, But Fell To Mediocrity".
Wlad has some skill, and he has given us some beautiful performances, but it's been proven at least twice, some would think 3 times, that at his young age he is already past his prime. His chin has been proven weak, his stamina is definitely in question. Is he going to have to lose to Jeremy Williams before people start jumping off the bandwagon? I mean, even in the weakest Heavyweight division in ages, he can't sustain a rise to the top.Comment

Actually, Vitali beat him because Vitali is the CHAMP. Corrie Sanders would beat the hell out of most heavyweights today. There is no point in arguing about that, so there that goes.Originally posted by vB MartinApparently he couldn't. Big Klit beat him like a red-headed stepchild in his next fight, plus he's never been champ. Sort of negates that argument.
I don't know what you saw that leads you to believe this, but the fight I watched at least 5 times, Little Klit had not even phased Williamson. Even his hellacious fury after the KD didn't dent him. All it did was spend energy.
I agree it was strange, but everyone who watched knows what happened. Little Klit punched himself out against a guy with a solid chin and no skills, then got caught.
Which excuse... erm.. theory do you subscribe to? The Vaseline excuse? The drugged excuse? The still sore from the **** probings after being abducted by aliens the night before excuse?
There were plenty to choose from after this humiliating loss.
That's exactly where I stand. Show me something against a quality opponent (at least as quality as this depleted era can produce) and I will admit I was wrong about him being washed up. Otherwise, spar with your brother and try to get on some German TV series until your fame finally fades.
And not everyone thinks Wlad was greased up with Vasoline or whatever the case may be. I think he just had poor stamina and could barely walk, much less fight. So there goes your bull**** about that as well.
Wlad is not done at all. Your sittin here trying to preach WK being finished when so many other bums are still fighting? You have some nuts on you man, or you're just incredibly ******.Comment

Corrie Sanders has lost against much weaker fighters than either of the Klits.
It was Little Klit's camp that accused one of the most repected and professional cutmen in boxing of greasng their fighter. When he protested and no one bought it, they startedtalking about drugging. They have been full of excuses for his humiliating losses rather than just saying, "****. He got beat. Looks like we have some work to do."
The reason I pick out Little Klit for this, and this didn't just refer to him, as many beside you seem to have understood and responded to, is because of all the people making excuses, buying into these camp stories and still calling him a dominant heavyweight.Comment

**** YEAH! right on vb!!! there's been lots of excuses from the Klit nuthuggers too about missing water bottles and conspiracy theories and other BULL**** excuses about why Wladdy LOST TO LAMON BREWSTER. The real reason WLADDY LOST is because "the black rocky" Brew isn't near as much of a bum as everyone makes out to be, and Wladdy ain't what he used to be. He reached his prime too early, now he needs to get beat by Holyfield ( who everyone finally agrees is shot) so everyone will realize that Wladdy's days are doneComment

I honestly don't see how he's getting a shot at Byrd. He's lost every time he's stepped up lately. I guess this is what you get when King rules boxing.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoIf Wladimir Klitschko fights and loses against Byrd, then he is finished as far as boxing goes.Comment
