Not only that, Cotto was quoted as saying "Top Rank wanted to give him scraps" The fights they wanted for him were within Top Rank, which to be honest were Crap. Such as Tim Bradley, Brandon Rios, and Marquez.

So Cotto did the right thing. Only when he left was he able to get the Mayweather fight.
