Was a much closer fight than the scorecards had it, but Cotto did not win that fight. Trout imposed his gameplan and made adjustments, and Miguel didn't have any answers. It was a disappointing performance by Cotto, but Trout fought the fight of his life.
True, it's been all downhill for Trout since then, but he deserves some credit. The fact that Miguel didn't take him seriously -- that's Miguel's fault. I'm sure Miguel understands that.
CaneloTards in full swing and united on this one lol!
Facts:
Cotto left training camp at "high altitude" early
-Doing so, affected his endurance
Cotto had a huge argument with his trainer
-Damaged relation, lead to early departure from camp
Cotto's made a mistake in having his mother at the training camp
-Mother disrupted his training concentration, application, fighter-trainer relationship, resulting on his early departure from camp
Cotto was soft, lethargic and showed not being fully conditioned
-It showed during the weight in, the night of the fight seemed fat and was the slowest Cotto ever
Cotto was being over trained by the Cuban
-Freddy stated that the Cuban had Miguel running over 8 miles daily and over "spared" him on his camps; photos of a battled worn Miguel were posted here on Boxing Scene where Cotto seem scar, and what look like a broken/hurt nose
Cotto Haters/Canelotards Fantasy:
Trout clearly beat Cotto
-Fight was very close, but at the end Cotto beat Cotto that night
Trout lost against CaneLOL
-Fight would have gone either way as it was, without the INFLATED point cards announcements, Trout would have not being forced to change his fight plan and likely won the fight (loss any how, the fight was in Texas)
Trout beats Cotto on a rematch
-lol!!!!!!!! Really? ahahahajajajajjajaa lmao!!!
All those are excuses. I am a Cotto fight but he lost that fight. If they ever fought again. I bet Cotto beats Trout. I just can't believe he lost vs Trout.
