Honestly, do we believe GGG team would take the fight right away with a potential Cotto or Canelo fight possible early next year that would be WAY more lucrative?

I think it's all posturing at this point. Not saying GGG won't fight Ward in the future because I don't think boxers are "scared" to fight other guys but it doesn't make sense for GGG to fight him now and risk a much bigger and let's be honest way more winnable fight against Cotto/Canelo.

GGG star is shining at the moment and unfortunately for Ward he's kind of an unknown to casual fans because of his absence from the ring in recent years despite his great talent.

This will be a great fight, when the time is right, which is not right now.

If Ward agreed to 164 then weight would no longer be holding up the fight. However they still would have to agree on what each fighter gets paid and where the fight take place. So my answer is maybe the fight would happen and maybe not.

No reason to fight Ward until GGG has unified the titles at 160. Absolutely nothing to gain at all. Let Ward win a couple of titles at SMW and build up his name and brand again so that he has something to bring to the party and when the time is right, they can fight at 168.

Won't happen still GGG and his team will continue to pull a khan and beg for a fight with canelo/cotto. While they have a rematch then unify with Lee

Well considering Ward said no to 164, it looks like Ward didn't want to compromise in order to make the fight happen.
