Cotto is going to lose so who cares about MayweatherWhy would Cotto cost himself money by going against Floyd? Even if it did more buys it affects their own pockets. The only people with a grudge are Oscar and Canelo... They hate Floyd and know they can't beat him in the ring so they would try these lame attempts of "damaging him." Cotto is a real man and he also holds a grudge against Floyd. The difference is, as I stated, Cotto is a real man and will try to beat him in the ring not "outdo" Floyds number that ONE time to justify how great they are.
That's what Canelo does though, he got a good rating ONE TIME. He got a lot of buys ONE TIME... Yet Oscar and Canelo think they do that all the time which is false. He should probably call himself Saul "one time" Alvarez instead. Or maybe Saul "Got my good numbers off of Floyd" Alvarez.Comment

Thats probably why Floyd waited so long to announce this fight. He knows now its too late for the cotto-canelo fight to be in september. Cuz it would of sold waay more than the berto fightComment

Cotto v Canelo will do bigger numbers that Mayweather v Berto, literally no doubt in my mind about that. There are only two Mayweather fights on PPV that didn't need an angle to sell: 1. The DLH fight and 2. the Manny fight.
Now the whole angle is retirement, which a lot of true boxing fans know is BS and they know Berto ain't ****.
But, Cooto v Canelo can do fine in NOvember and it's just an unnecessary nuisance to compete for a September date this year. If Canelo wins, and solidifies himself as the new PPV king, he can have nay date he wants in 2016 barring May/Pac 2.Comment

Cotto vs Canelo would out sell that mismatch by a mile. Oscar wants a rematch clause for the Cotto vs Canelo fight and Cotto has every right to refuse to sign the contract until Oscar drops that rematch bull****. Damn, Oscar, have some faith in your fighter. If Canelo can't win the first time he doesn't deserve a rematch. I am sure this is cautious Oscar wanting this rematch clause. I think Canelo would be glad to fight with no rematch clause. Either way I agree with Cotto for demanding there be no rematch clause.Comment
