For whatever reason, Oscar has refused to follow the same tact with Canelo, leaving the negotiations to continue dragging on. Oscar believes that he's got the long one in the negotiations, so he's trying to pull rank, not knowing that Cotto's the one with the long one.

Cotto's belt, Cotto's date, Cotto's name first on the marquee; Cotto was talked away from New York to a bigger site fee at an MGM property (Mandalay Bay), but you can chalk up the bulk of the delay to Oscar trying to exercise leverage in spots where he doesn't actually have the leverage.

Cotto's in no rush and isn't desperate for the payday, so if Oscar keeps with the bull****, he may **** up this fight negotiation too.

Exactly. So far we have Cotto with a long history of being difficult in negotiations and backing out big money fights. Again please tell me when Canelo has been accused of any of this? Cotto's previous promoter went on record saying everything was done we got a great deal for our client all we need is his signature. His promoter who is looking out for Cotto not Canelo said this. That was last year in December. It was Cotto and his manager who cried about the deal, stalled and then backed out. Now he has a new Promoter who just like his previous one has no problem with the deal and has not come out publicly saying otherwise. Again it's only Cotto and his manager crying and being difficult his own promoters like the deal, HBO likes the deal, Golden Boy likes the deal.

The money was already agreed on. HBO was not and has not increased the money offer. Golden Boy has not increased the money offer to Cotto's promoter. If the money changes for Cotto this time it's because Roc Nation is taking a different percent then what Top Rank was taking or because Roc Nation is offering a bonus for signing a multi fight deal. But the deal is virtually the same as it was a year ago this time. So what more is this whining diva waiting for to sign the deal? He is running out of excuses for ducking Canelo. This should of took less then a week to wrap up these fools been looking at the same offer on the table for a year now.

I'll say it again if Cotto backs out the fight AGAIN he is screwed. Canelo has a long fight contract with HBO and is in his early 20's he is good. He has nothing but time on his side and will just fight somebody else on HBO and wait for another big fight he's got the time to do that. Cotto has already wasted a year and is up there in age only has a handful of fights left in him. So he will waste another year? And he has now burned bridges with Top Rank so he won't get a fight with any of Bob's fighters. He burned bridges with Golden Boy so scratch that off. His promoter Roc Nation has a blood fued with Haymon so scratch any Haymon fighters off. Andrade and his promoters just filed a lawsuit against Roc Nation so scratch them off. He wants no parts of GGG. So who will he fight? And what network will air it? HBO played hardball with him and refused to air his first choice opponent and did so with the agreement he fights Canelo next. HBO won't be happy if he walks so I don't see them airing his next fight. PBC won't let him fight there because of Haymon beef with Roc and Haymon will likely block any fight on Showtime as well. He's going to get his belt stripped and will be fighting on BET with Ward if he ducks Canelo again LMAO

That's his ONLY option if he ducks Canelo again. Fight GGG for a fraction of the money on HBO and get killed. There is no other opponent out there and I don't see HBO airing any future Cotto fight unless it's Canelo or GGG. He will be without a belt and without a network if he passes. Haymon owns all the other networks except HBO
