If it's about 'deserve' and who is the best, why not call out Brook? Isn't Brook by far the most obvious opponent going by Thurman's standard?

It's really OBVIOUS, Thurman just wants to fight the slightly easier known names at welter, and duck the welters closer to his own size, who are Brook and Spence.

This fight needs to happen. Khan/Thurman and Porter/Garcia to close the year would put PBC right where it needs to be.

good and very winnable fight for AK....Swift can chin check Porter and the winners meet at the top or in the middle of 2016....the WW division has always been the hot spot in boxing...with Swift bringing a unbeaten record and a drawing power to the division, it just got hotter

No doubt Thurman would get outboxed. The question is would Khan's chin hold up for 12 rounds? It's unlikely. I see a one sided fight in Khan's favor and then Thurman catches him late and wins by KO. However, Thurman's fragility has yet to be fully tested too. The good thing is at least one of them would have to lose. The two biggest Floyd nuthuggers out there right now...

Let's be honest here. Algieri was walking khan down and landing power shots and almost had him down with the first big shot he landed.
Sure, khans speed will give anyone issues until they time it and put him out. Thurman is a big strong WW. I'd take Thurman to stop him in a good close fight up until the stoppage

Thurman is in his usual BS'ing element again. He didn't have any objection fighting Bundu when Alexander was available. Him mentioning Khan isn't yet established at 147 says to me that he doesn't really want Khan. Why is that even necessary?

Khan needs to go for this fight ASAP.
