Before Floyd mentioned Spence as a possible Thurman opponent, nobody was bringing his name up.. This is sad, so many groupies who call themselves fans. a top 5 WW should fight a literal nobody just because Floyd said so.. come on..

I think Thurman, like Amir Khan, fails to realize that he has no negotiating power when it comes to Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather will make $32 million in his next fight whether he fights Andre Berto or his own grandmother. Mayweather doesn't need Khan, Thurman, Golovkin or any of the other wannabes in and around 147 pounds.

If Thurman has any chance of getting a fight with Mayweather, he has to fight and beat a quality opponent. Mayweather was offering Thurman what Mayweather considers to be a quality opponent in Spence. If hThurman beat Spence, I am certain that Mayweather would have fought Thurman in his 50th fight. Thurman, however, would prefer to fight another Leonard Bundu or Luis Collazo while proclaiming himself to be the best challenger for Mayweather.
