PBC should have just bought Friday night fights on espn for the next 2-3 years, instead of buying spots all over the place...

If pbc was on TV every Friday on espn at 8pm, then it would be much easier to build a casual audience following..
Bellator and wwe both used this model to perfection.. Pbc needs to do the same if they want to grow the outside from more than just hardcore fans
Haymon is known for making networks compete with each other to drive up bidding wars. That may be the reason why he wants relationships with multiple networks. That's how he was getting those ridiculous purses for Berto on HBO.

Ratings arent high enough for these major networks to be fighting over him. I guess this is why he's moving to smaller start up now such as BounceTV.

Plus, networks arent bidding for him. He's paying out of pocket to showcase his cards.

For one thing if there going to put on a glorified sparring match as a headline event they can at least let me see the knockout instead of stopping the damn fight early.

WTF was that? I did not watch Saturday's fight to see paulie get saved by the ref.

That's obviously not the long term plan though. He's paying out of pocket to try and prove he can get acceptable ratings which will lead to ad $$$.

Yes and his biggest problem is by network hopping, he wont gain the big #'s that's he's looking for as its hard for the casuals to keep up with his cards.

The one thing that I have the biggest issue with is the ring entrances, and there own music.

That is one of the best parts about the event, and it get's everyone hype. I love the build up and anticipation of the ring walks, it has always given me a rush right before the fight

1). I have an issue with the name. Labelling the show 'Premier Boxing Champions' across the board when champions aren't actually fighting makes it look overblown. Look at HBO, you've got HBO PPV, HBO World Championship Boxing, and HBO Boxing After Dark. I know what fights and fighters I'm likely getting with each of these different titles. PBC should do something similar. For lesser cards, have 'PBC: The Upcomers' or something, make it more prospect heavy, like Friday Night Fights was. Having everything under one banner looks forced.

2.) The atmosphere at times is horrible and just feels wrong. This is partly due to match-making, start time, location selection, etc. but a lot of it comes from the format of the event. Taking out what seems like an entire seating section for that walk-in platform might be to blame, the lighting system might also be a problem (it looks bright as hell in the arena), I also feel like the fans/entourages aren't as in close proximity to the ring as well. There's probably a tonne of reasons but it needs fixing.

3.) The broadcast teams are way below par, and there's too many for each network. PBC needs a regular team of say, 7-10 people, 3 of which who will be broadcast at one time, they can build chemistry with each other over time, without too much deviation so you can build a sense of familiarity too. Teddy Atlas, Paulie Malinaggi, Mauro Ranallo would all be guys I'd want on that team. People who know boxing, not catch-all announcers like Al Michaels.
1-100% on board with this. They need a much more organised structure than they have now. They don't seem to have much rhyme or reason on who's fighting where except with the primetime shows.

2-I like the giant ass lighting thing above the ring. That sorta defines a fight as a PBC fight right now & at some point there could be a value for regular cats turning to a channel with boxing on it & seeing that device above the ring & knowing that its a PBC card. The rest of the surroundings definitely seem off to one degree or another most of the time.

3-100% on this too. Putting those old school names in got PBC some headlines, but those cats were dated like 6 month old milk on day 1 & don't seem to be getting better & why would they. Idk how easy it would be to have one announcing team with 8 tv deals or w/e PBC has, but they should definitely be trying to brand PBC better with regular announcers.

He's going to make them go to war, by buying up a bunch of TV time?

More than likely when it comes down to looking for an actual tv deal, they will tell him to screw off, it's going to be hard to tell networks to pay for his product after years of him paying them to show it.

That would work if he is getting ratings... he isn't.
