I think that's one of the best things I love about those 10 fight cards in the UK. You can tell the crowd is genuinely there for the boxing and not an "event."

Thought about this the other day, my suggestions:

1). I have an issue with the name. Labelling the show 'Premier Boxing Champions' across the board when champions aren't actually fighting makes it look overblown. Look at HBO, you've got HBO PPV, HBO World Championship Boxing, and HBO Boxing After Dark. I know what fights and fighters I'm likely getting with each of these different titles. PBC should do something similar. For lesser cards, have 'PBC: The Upcomers' or something, make it more prospect heavy, like Friday Night Fights was. Having everything under one banner looks forced.

2.) The atmosphere at times is horrible and just feels wrong. This is partly due to match-making, start time, location selection, etc. but a lot of it comes from the format of the event. Taking out what seems like an entire seating section for that walk-in platform might be to blame, the lighting system might also be a problem (it looks bright as hell in the arena), I also feel like the fans/entourages aren't as in close proximity to the ring as well. There's probably a tonne of reasons but it needs fixing.

3.) The broadcast teams are way below par, and there's too many for each network. PBC needs a regular team of say, 7-10 people, 3 of which who will be broadcast at one time, they can build chemistry with each other over time, without too much deviation so you can build a sense of familiarity too. Teddy Atlas, Paulie Malinaggi, Mauro Ranallo would all be guys I'd want on that team. People who know boxing, not catch-all announcers like Al Michaels.

4.) This is a minor thing, but I'm big on visuals. The rings look like the massive 20x20 ones already. But when you make the ropes completely black, it tricks your eye and they look even bigger and less closed in. Please make the ropes white or something, it would make a huge change in appearance.

This is one of, if not their biggest problem. They're all over the place and its hard to gain viewership traction when you dont have an established network. As big a boxing fan as I am, its hard for me to even keep up with what channel and at what time a PBC card is on. PBC will never gain traction from casual viewers by network hopping for every fight card.

How many channels would be good? NFL is on 5 networks and that is the fewest of the major sports.

Have either of you considered there are different reasons to air a PBC show? On Bounce, which is a start up network, the small rating we see is one of that networks highest viewed shows.

ESPN, NBC and CBS are going to stay. I would say FoxSports1 is as well. SO what do you want them to drop-Bounce, NBCSPorts?

Personally, I like the PBC presentation. Has a more controlled professional approach. The announcer could be better, but besides that and the recent match making, I like it.

Not so much matchmaking, which I agree does need to improve, but location of the fight. Broner/Porter should have been in Cincinnati or somewhere in Ohio. Frampton should have debuted in the Northeast US or anywhere with a huge Irish population.

Petersen in DC more. Why doesn't Danny Garcia fight in Philly or Atlantic City?

U cant compare Football viewership (the most popular sport in the U.S) to that of boxing. With that said, PBC needs to establish themselves on 1 or 2 major networks if they want to create any traction with casual fan viewership. Spreading cards out on 5-6 different networks at different times and on different days is why their ratings havent been what I'm sure Haymon expected. I dont even know where to find Bouncetv on my cable network. Never heard of it and dont even know if I have it.

The biggest thing too any successful business is CONSISTENCY.

I wasn't comparing them. I was pointing out that the NFL is on the fewest # of different stations and that is 5. Please tell me what networks you think should stop airing boxing.?

Its funny to read this. DO you remember Tuesday night fights on USA? I thought it was great to be able to see world class talent that didn't fight on Saturday night only.

Mixing nights is something that smaller college football teams do to get exposure. They play on a Wednesday or Thursday night. I actually like being able to see games during the week. If you play a Sam Houston State on TV the same time a Big 10 or SEC team is on, chances are they will not get seen.

HBO's model was established 30 years ago. We are in a new day and age. HOw else in this era is PBC supposed to get exposure if people are conditioned to tune into HBO for boxing on Saturday night?

My point was, football fans will go out of their way to watch football no matter what day/channel/time its on. Football is the country's most popular and most watched sport. Cant say the same for boxing. Sure the boxing diehards will go out of their way to watch a match during the week, but the casuals wont. They'll channel surf and if they come across a fight and if there's no action after a round or 2 they're changing the channel.

PBC needs its own network. Establish themselves as THE go to boxing channel/network outside of HBO and Showtime. If there's an HBO or Showtime fighter fighting 2 saturdays from now, you dont even need to tell me what channel or time the fight will be on. I know for a fact it's taking place either on HBO or Showtime starting at 9pm ET. Tell me Broner or Thurman is fighting next week and I'll have to research to figure out which network PBC is using for that fight and on what day and time.

There's no way that you can honestly say that having cards on a plethora of networks on different dates and times is good for PBC.
