Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York - Danny "Swift" Garcia (31-0, 18 KOs) made his move to the welterweight division, to break down and stop two-time world champion Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KOs) in the ninth round. The fight was televised by Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN.

The first started slow. Malignaggi was the busier fighter, but it was Garcia who was landing the harder and more telling pinches. Malignaggi's defense was on display in the second round. He was making Garcia miss and coming back with counters. Garcia started shooting a straight jab to Malignaggi's body and started targeting the body to slow the Brooklyn native down.

You have to be able to actually come forward and put Danny on his back foot to beat him but the fight pretty much went how we thought it would. It was hard for me to give Paulie any rounds...

Garcia vs Porter is the fight I'm most interested in seeing stylistically that's a good matchup!
