Well obviously. Golovkin is too hesitant to go to 168 to fight Ward. He's not going to go all the way up to 175 and get destroyed by Kovalev.

We'll just have to listen to the tales of him winning a sparring match for the rest of time.

You missed the bus here brother. It isn't Ward that wants to "get away " from a Ward/ggg fight

Pretty obvious man. I thought the "anyone from 154-175" would forever die after suddenly Ward was too big.

You have to be remarkably ****** to think GGG would even fight let alone beat Kovalev. These fanboys are something else.

        GGG, "sparring legend TBE"

Ward HAS cleared out the Super Middleweight Division but is too big of a poocee to move up and face Kovalev so he keeps calling out the smaller guy! Ward can't draw flies to shat and won't leave the comforts of home to fight with his ugly ass style, headbutt, hug, dance, so why would anyone want to fight his sorry ass! Ward grow a pair move up already and stop calling out someone in a lower weight class and fight someone your own size!
Yadayada and more of the same. Here's the real facts. Team ggg screamed at the top of their lungs that they would fight anyone from 154-168 and that everyone was ducking them. When Ward called them on it, team ggg insisted on a catch weight that Ward couldn't possibly make. This killed the fight. When he could have put himself in boxings drivers seat, he passed on the opportunity. 33 yrs old and counting and still no one quality win, not one

Wait... didn't GGG say - "let's fight" everything 50/50 (absolutely fair terms). So he does challenge Ward. Ward didn't go up to beat Dowson. He "challenged" Dowson in his (Ward's) 168. This means Ward does accept it as fair (coming down one weight devision).
Now when he received an absolutely even offer - what is his answer? So now GGG is coward?

If GGG is coward than you must be one very brave man - calling others cowards while hiding behind internet.

The fight not realistic, says Kovalev. There is no reason for Golovkin to head up to light heavyweight when there are so many lucrative fights for him at middleweight and even at super middleweight.

The fight that is more realistic is a clash with super middleweight champion Andre Ward, who is considering a possible move to 175-pounds. Ward's last fight took place at 172 on June 20th when he stopped Paul Smith. The teams behind Ward and Kovalev have actually been in talks for a possible 2016 clash.

Kovalev is making too much sense for the GGG haters. GGG would eat Ward for breakfast anyways. GGG has much more money and more lucrative fights at middle weight. Ward has his knees buckled in the last fight against 'Tomato Can Smith' and Ward couldn't even fill his own home town arena.

I hope no one suggests that Kovalev is scared. GGG is 160 and Kova wants to fight someone who is P4P number 2 and closer to his size. Also when they sparred Kovalev was 9-0 and GGG was already a world champion who was whooping everyone in the gym. This was clarified by Abel Sanchez. However it was a body shot STOPPAGE if you must know. Kovalev>GGG now for me though, he is a psycho in the ring.

Ggg would eat Ward for breakfast? Based on what? That long list of murderous punchers and elite fighters on gggs resume? If gggs handlers thought he could beat Ward this fight would have gotten made. The problem is they don't believe ggg would win

I hope you are not trying to suggest that Ward is number 2 P4P. The only P4P list Ward is on, is the one that rates Oakland fighters. Ward needs to beat both GGG and Kovalev before he ever hits number 2 on any valid list.

I wasn't about to watch that fight, but did Smith actually buckle Ward's knees?
