I read that the House promoter is the one that pays the judges to judge. So if you go against their fighter they will no longer retain your services. But i'dk cause I also read that in Vegas the commission only can appoint

I wouldn't say its rigged, just not regulated. And highly subjective in close fight with no knockdowns or KO's.
Promotes spend big money putting on these fights, they don't do that to watch their guy lose. We will see Pauli Malignagi fight Danny Garica tomorrow. Its widely believed that unless Pauli gets a KO he has no shot to win on the cards.

It's not rigged like professional wrestling, where the outcome is predetermined by the booker or promoter. In pro wrestling, the victor is determined by a pinfall, so both wrestlers have to be in on the fix.
If a boxing match goes the full distance, it goes to the JUDGES...and in that case, yes, the outcome can be determined by outside forces, WITHOUT either boxer being aware of a fix.
A promoter, say Main Events......will build up their "A" boxer, by matching him up with "B" opponents, in the hopes of landing a big fight against another "A" opponent. But sometimes they hit a snag, and one of the "B" opponents didn't get the memo that he's only supposed to make the "A" opponent look good but ultimately lose the fight.
If the B fighter defeats the A fighter by KO, TKO, or RTD, there's nothing the shadey promoter can do about that. It's a setback. HOWEVER...if it went the distance, and went to the judges...here's where the promoter can "fix" the problem . They have "influence" on certain judges assigned to the fight. You get two crazy scorecards awarding the fight to the A guy. Booing from the crowd, announcers scratching their head, the beat goes on.
Just as you have A side and B side fighters, there A and B side promoters. What Main Events may get away with against smaller promoters and managers, they can't against a Haymon or DLH. They can be victimized against those bigger promoters, just like they do the little guy .Last edited by SHO_RULEZ; 08-01-2015, 02:29 AM.

After all, he has a lot of fighters who he can pit against each other - to build up "stars" artificially - while avoiding actual, competative fights with rivals.
Maybe it is more accurate to say careers are "planned" even if fights aren't necessarily rigged, I don't know.

There is literally no difference between what happens in pro wrestling and what happened in the Seth Mitchell-Jonathan Banks rematch. Banks was literally doing everything in his power to avoid knocking Mitchell out again, and even then he almost ****ed it all up.
Another blatantly worked bout was Deontay Wilder-Malik Scott.
Two Haymon-managed fighters benefiting in two of the most blatantly fake fights in recent memory....makes you wonder about those Mayweather-Alvarez rumours.

Not entire but partially. Temporarily. Depending on the circumstances. It is always influenced in one way or another though. It's is a subjective sport after all which opens up the gates to manipulation and corruption.
Damn, that was deep.
