You m0therf0ckers know Paulie is the epitome of a "Boxer". He wins boxing matches by BOXING. He fought with a broken jaw, none of you poooossssies would walk ten steps with a broken jaw. and for him to reach the world championsip level of boxing... he deserves everybit of respect. Salute to you Paulie. Keep talking that ****!

For a guy with very very little power he has had a good career. Very tough guy too with a lot of heart and could take a shot as good as anybody in his prime.

If he had good power he would have been an exceptional fighter but everyone has weaknesses so it's pointless saying that. If my aunty had balls she'd be my uncle right..

Anyway he definitely isn't a bum, or at least wasn't in his prime, far from it. I think he's very much done now but if he has one good performance left in him then Garcia could be in for a long night. After seeing Danny struggle with some fighters recently, i believe a prime Malignaggi with younger legs would have boxed circles around Garcia all night.

Nobody ever sees a Garcia foght as intriguing, everybody always thinks they know what's going to happen in a DSG fight. Outside of the Judah and Salka fights, everyone is always wrong.

Morales gave him a tough fight. Khan was favored to beat him instead got his ass knocked out. Matthyse was the comfortable favorite but lost on points and couldn't phase Garcia with power, even got dropped himself. Herrera was supposed to be an easy fight, IMO fought closely with Garcia but I didn't see the robbery people screamed. Peterson wasn't supposed to fight that close vs Garcia. In Morales II people thought it was gonna be another close fight with Garcia being favored to win a dec, it instead ended quickly.

So nothing ever goes as planned in a DSG fight, whether positively or negatively. That's why Paulie putting up a good fight is not out of the question. I think DSG is at his best when he is underdog. I think he will always be a fighter that will never dominate anyone but will always fight 50-50 even with the elite or the lower tier guys. He won't dominate anyone but he will never be dominated.

You're right that Garcia's performances are hard to properly predict, but I'm pretty confident that if Herrera/Peterson couldn't beat him when he wasn't in tip-top condition @140, Paulie has no chance of beating him @147. Paulie was chosen as a stepping stone, nothing more. Sure, the styles don't mesh well in Garcia's favor, but if he's been developing his skills, then it won't matter. At worse, Garcia wins by UD. At best, he shows that he's become a better stalker, walks Paulie down and stops him in 8. I just can't imagine Paulie winning, hence why the match-up isn't intriguing. With the Zab fight, at least there was an element of danger (which did manifest in the later rounds), but what can Paulie do? He's gonna jab all night and probably complain when he loses a decision or get KO'ed when Garcia gets the timing down on Paulie's jab. He just can't win and hopefully he takes a permanent seat at the commentator's booth after this because I thoroughly enjoy him in the analyst role. As a fighter, he isn't capable of accomplishing much more against the competition that's around him. I'm more interested in Mora/Jacobs even though the match-ups are kinda similar.

Just stick and move tonight Paulie. Keep the jab in his face, tie him up on the inside, jab him on the breaks, and land straight rights to the mid-section near the end of the rounds.
You should dominate him fairly easily if you do that.

Malignaggi is a 147 version of a Rod Salka. But since Garcia has some "bumness" in him, he could lose this fight, if he doesnt land his ******ed, blind left hook.

                      Bumness? That's a good one.
