I like Mexican boxers. I always have and I always will. They come to fight and they aren't clinchers or holders and hitters. Canelo is my favorite fighter along with GGG. Canelo's fights are almost always exciting and he can really fight. He is young and improving fast with every fight.Comment

Seems to me like theres alot of jealousy and envy amongst boxing fans when it comes to the popularity and the $$$ Mexicans bring in. But lets be real, Mexican boxers and fans take up a large majority of the sport so it only makes sense why their fighters are so popular & the money they make is from their fans support. I couldnt imagine where boxing would be from the 90s to the present if there was no more Mexicans. I know Floyd said, haters gonna hate but why all the jealousy on NSB?Last edited by richardt; 07-31-2015, 09:14 PM.Comment

I don't see that much anger or hate about the Mexican fans support of Mexican boxers. I think people realize its a fact of the sport, but the overwhelming majority don't seem to have much of a negative spin on it at all.
I will say I think the racial & nationality support in boxing comes off as some 1950's sorta **** with more people than I'd like to see showing racial or nationality preferences that don't seem cool in 2015. I don't think that happens in many, if any, other sports quite like it does in boxing. Rivalries can just be based on race or nationality in boxing. I mean if there was a black linebacker & a white QB for NFL teams that had a rivalry their race or nationality wouldn't come into it as much as a rivalry between a Mexican & a PR in boxing. So that might be something I got a negative spin on to some degree, but it has nothing to do with Mexicans specifically Mexicans just happen to be the biggest market in the sport so those types of opinions are gonna come up more with Mexican fighters.Comment

I agree imo....after the Ali era, Mexican fans and fighters kept boxing in the main stream...Sal Sanchez, De La Hoya, Julio Cesar Chavez, that one country has produced many of the all time greatsComment

Anyone with a semester of psychology knows this thread speaks volumes about your own insecurities. For some reason you are not comfortable in your skin. Jealousy and bias and hate comes in all directions. that makes it a wash. Be more concerned with direct politically incorrect statements made specifically to you or about your race, creed, color, nationality, not some perception of what you think others as a group here or as a whole feel. You have some growing up to do.Comment

Mexican Boxers are some of if not the finest boxers to watch. I also dont understand the title as much. If fans watch the sport and Mexican fighters get so much support than it has to be from the fans!
Ehh who gives a ***. Stock in Mexican fighters have always sored through the roof. Simply because they come to fight. Not prance around the ring and hug their opponents like some ***** ass phag!!!
Viva Mexico!Comment
