I hope Deontay fights him and doesn't relinquish the belt...

The sad part is nobody is shocked by this and even worse that there are few defending this crap fight. All I heard early this year when he fought a blatant mismatch with Molina was oh give Haymon a break this is just a tune up for a big fight for Wilder later this year. Now instead we are getting another mismatch tune up later this year and the same haymon cheerleaders saying give him a break after this tune up we getting a big fight next year. We promise this time there is purse bid. LMAO

Meanwhile we have seen Haymon weasel his way out of purse bids and mandatory challenges. (See paying people off to keep delaying Danny Garica's mandatory vs Postol until he ultimately moved up weight vacating the belt or him refusing to honor the purse bid in the past (see him forcing Quillen to vacate a belt after he lost the purse bid). And that's not even mentioning the elephant in the room which has been reported that Haymon intends on creating his own crappy PBC belts allowing his fighters to really start ducking other fighters. So you can buy the bag of beans Haymon supports are selling with promises of great fight just never now always the "next fight". Haymon is spoon feeding crappy fights on PBC and deserves no passes or benefit of the doubt.

I believe Deontay can win if he fights smart and lengthy.. Povetkin is too short and slow IMO, Deontay will mess him up worse than Wlad did. But then again... there is always a chance Povetkin catches Wilder like Molina did, only difference is Povetkin will knock him down unlike bumlina

Smh, dude won't even fight povetkin, I doubt he will be fighting Klitschko, Joshua, Parker, in lifetime.

Makes you wonder WTF is then point of watching this sport sometimes. How you that big and ducking freaking povetkin?

That said, Wilder should fight Glazkov in September as a 'warm up' to Povetkin. Glazkov is a durable guy and will give better experience than an out-of-shape past prime Chris Arreola
Glazkov is a bad warm-up for getting ready to fight someone like Povetkin imo, he should look to Chisora, Arreola and so on If he wants to warm himself up to that type of fight, Glazkov doesn't fight anything like Povetkin.

If you think Povetkin is less of a fighter then Parker/Joshua (toady at least , maybe joshua will grow into something bigger) you arent watching boxing , Povetkin in the #2 HW in the world today , and Wilder will get his first L if they fight.

Didn't say povetkin ******, but of wilder won't fight him, that's probably a sign of things to come.

I'm tired of these Haymon guys, fight one decent opponent, and than expect 5 easy fights after.

It's completely pointless, and a waste of time.

Wilder could be a star in this country, I want to see him go after it, not chase easy paychecks the next 3 years.

Haha wut. Whether or not Wilder wins or loses, it's in his best financial interest to let this thing got to purse bid. Ryabinsky is legendary for going big on these bids and making the fighters a bunch of extra money. A fight with Povetkin is always going to purse bid. Too much money to go otherwise..
