Brook has only fought one decent opponent in his entire career, Khan has fought like 10. He's actually being generous saying Brook only needs to fight 2 world class opponents, if Brook beats them he would have only fought 3 decent opponents in his whole career.. lol
**** with Khan's career trajectory & Brook's career trajectory after two BIG name W's in a year that probably makes Brook getting only 35% a robbery. Horrible deal by Hearn & I assume this is just to get some movement on making this fight out in the ether & not the final deal Hearn would agree to if Khan vs Brook was actually on the table & makeable right now under this 2 BIG W's requirement.
I'd also like to know what Khan's definition of a BIG name W is. I'm guessing if Khan is still looking for a Mayweather fight in 10 months Brook doing anything other than beating Mayweather, Pacquiao or Thurman gets a upvote from Khan as a big name. If Frankie Gavin is a BIG name W than I suppose 35% is fine.

It's not exactly a done deal. They've just had preliminary discussions. The split could be a potential sticking point because as I've said before, Khan's stock is plummeting rapidly on both side's of the Atlantic.
If he was so concerned about "giving Brook a payday", you'd think he would want to end the hype early and have done the fight this summer. It's a shame he didn't have any confidence in winning.
There's also the distinct possibility he gets flattened again before next year and I don't see how he can then dictate terms. Like I said, this is time buying exercise from Team Khan to take the heat off themselves.
I do think Brook opposition needs to be better, Porter is a good name on his resume but I hope he goes back to America or even UK but a good name, there is a lot of good names at 147 that would make this fight with Khan bigger than it is at the moment.
Khan has done nothing since being iced by Garcia, that's the truth of the matter.
Maybe he can be the A-side, but to make demands about what Brook HAS to do is ridiculous. Why doesn't Khan go beat two true world class Welterweights that can land on his chin ? Brook does need to step up his opposition, but so does Khan if he's going to be making demands.
At the moment he's living off former glories and his career isn't exactly a sparkling one anyway!
Glad to see negotiations have begun and agreements between both parties seem to be mutual at the moment. I think the demand for Brook to fight two world class opponents is unreasonable, i think one elite fighter will be sufficient.
Purse split is ok..i think 60-40 would be more fair since Brook is a world champion, 35%? They pulled brook's pants down with that one. Khan coming out second and being the A side, i think it's fair in terms of popularity and name, but he will definitely be the heel in this contest (The villain).
If Kell Brook gets a top name and beats him and Khan does the same...i think we will see the richest fight in British boxing history in the Summer of 2016.
