It'll happen in the future, so Ward will just have to wait for it probably by the end of 2016. I'm cool with Gennady taking out Lemieux then Canelo/Cotto winner. That's going to be 2 PPVs to 0. We'll see how strong Ward's negotiating is then.
Counter what? There was no official offer from either side.

Ward offered to sit down with Golovkin's team and discuss the fight with HBO.

And after this you will throw the first stone at Ward because he fights a B level fighter.
Always amusing when Golovkin stans burn themselves in their own threads. But just enjoy if you want that you favourite fights the likes of Lemieux, Geale and etc... without proving himself while you and your mates keep yelling that he will be a HOF member and he would even beat Hagler and every other mw greats.
But I don't even know why I argue with a user who is so delusional that picked Golovkin to beat Hagle based on wins over the likes of Geale or Murray.
It's funny that Ward fans expect GGG to give up 8lbs and jeopardize a Alvarez payday but it's ok for Ward to wait until he becomes a full-fledged LHW to fight Kovalev........

Like I said before, Ward needs Golovkin. Golovkin has options and a potentially full schedule over the next year w/o even having to think about Ward. He has the Lemieux ppv in October, unification with Andy Lee in Jan/Mar, mando w/ Tureano Jonhson/O'Kane in May/June, then maybe the big ppv with Alvarez.

If Ward wants to make the fight happen, he needs to make some compromises and stop acting like a diva. Either give up size or money, otherwise he can stay in obscurity on BET.

Is there anybody that can see this for what it is without being one sided?

No matter what Ward or GGG have said in the past, the facts are right now Ward cant be expected to drop below 168, he might even have an issue making that and GGG shouldn't be expected to move up to 168 yet.

GGG has Lemieux coming up and after that the winner of Cotto/Canelo before he leaves middleweight. It would be foolish for him to pass up the winner of that fight at middleweight to move up right now.

Point is the fight is not happening anytime soon and all the talk from both sides is just talk to keep their names out there and possibly help build the fight eventually. Im not one of the guys who thinks good fights should wait so they can be built up , when its a fight fans want, it should be made and GGG vs Cotto/Canelo is a better fight than GGG vs Ward right now.

All that will happen is that Ward will win like everybody expects him too and excuses will be made that GGG was too small.

A win over Kovalev would do much more for SOG at this stage.
GGG wants to fight Ward at 164. Why should GGG be required to go 8 pounds over his fighting weight to Ward's fighting weight???? Ward refuses to go up 7 pounds to fight Kovalev. You say Ward will win as if it's a sure thing. I think Ward loses to both Kovalev and GGG so Ward would be the one in need of excuses. Ward is pretty much a one handed fighter. Great left hand but a soft ball right hand. Who did Ward ever hurt with his right? GGG and Kovalev can box and have great power in both hands. Hey, NOBODY knows the winner of a fight before it happens. You should be saying you think Ward will win, not Ward will win. That is why they have fights. To see who wins.

So he is not going for Kovalev anyway?

GGG has unfinished business at 160 so Ward may have to wait a year or two before GGG eventually moves up. Unless of course Ward is willing to move down? That might be the case because its unusual for a fighter to Call out fighters from lower divisions without being willing to concede weight.

First it was, why isnt Ward mentioning GGG after GGG challenged him.

Now its, Ward is BEGGING for a fight. I really hope Lemule lands the first punch and sends this ****er on his way out.

funny, coming from a guy whose avatar photo just put a 155 catchweight on a guy MOVING UP from jr middle to fight for a middleweight title.

Not sure if you should be calling any other fighters manhood into question here.......

Sorry bro but GGG's inside game is terrible and Ward will nullify all of GGG's strengths by clinching and inside fighting. Ward's jab will also be a problem for GGG.
