He would have been a huge star if he's with Arum, after beating Khan.

His promoter was coked up and didn't do a good job of capitalizing off his wins. He should have followed the Matthysse win with a Broner fight or a move up to WW to fight Ghost.

There was the GBP/Haymon fallout which left him with Haymon, the disgraceful attempt to rebrand himself as a "PR fighter" in the mold of Tito or Cotto when he barely spoke Spanish and with that the "homecoming" loss (IMO) to Herrera.

The Petersen fight was a good reset. Beat Paulie and then I think if Danny tried to break down barriers by fighting Tim Bradley and winning I think he could get back a lot of momentum.

I think Danny is an amazing fighter when he can/wants to be. I love his ability to throw punches with his opponent and he has a nasty left hook. He has all the makings of a superstar but whatever he's doing just doesn't translate.

I think it's not happened for him yet because of his personality/style. Honestly that hip hop style of his just doesn't translate well with casuals. If you look at the last two huge superstars(odlh and manny). They came across as real personable happy people that everyone can relate too. They seemed like everyday people and casual fans ate it up. Mix that in with their amazing boxing ability and that made them superstars.

With Danny he just doesn't come across as an everyday average joe type of guy that people can relate too. And that's IMO the big reason he isn't translating into superstar status.

I'll eve add and say that what's holding Floyd back from having everyone embrace him. I know he used that bad boy image to make him what he is today. But if he was just himself, had a happy average joe type of personality that everyone can relate to, IMO he would be even bigger. He tried to be the anti-odlh and that did make him big but it also make him much more hated. I think if he didn't embrace the whole bad boy im all about money image he would be loved by all just like SRL was loved.

Because Khan has been beaten before and is generally seen as suspect in every fight. His chin will always be his Achilles heel and nobody considers Khan a "serious" threat.

Lucas was a never a HUGE star himself. Only amongst the real boxing fans and he himself didn't have amazing wins over superstars, thus nobody knew too much of Lucas aside from a high KO % when they fought.

He didn't follow up on his impressive wins. After beating Khan he fought a faded Morales and a faded Judah. After beating Mattysse he picked up a controversial win over Herrera and a disgraceful win over Salka.

Its because hes not Mexican but according to you, Mexicans can only beat cement footed fighters so no Mexican in history could ever touch Danys resume so we will never truly know...

Because Maythysse was never a star and neither was Khan when Garcia beat them. Plus, don't forgo to conclusion that he obliterated Maythysse, he merely outhustled him. That in itself and everything after those two matches he got pampered and protected just like any Al Haymon fighters...

It just doesn't sit well with honest boxing fans...
