Well he's already had a million dollar gate at the Barclays and commands decent viewership.We could easily say he wouldn't be as known if he was Cuban instead of puerto rican.

Angel makes a good point about Canelo. Canelo's best wins are Trout and a controversial decision against Lara.

Garcia on the other hand was lineal champ at 140 with huge wins over Khan and Matthysse.

I'm gonna have to agree with Angel. Danny Garcia would be a Superstar if he was Mexican.

Not sure about the answer to the poll, but I do know that he might be in a better situation if he didn't follow up his wins over Khan and Matthysse with so-so performances and Rod Salka.

I don't know, perhaps, but it really just speaks to the paucity of quality Mexican fighters. Recently they've all been cowards and cheaters, and Mexicans are so desperate for someone to root for that they will cheer on Eastern Europeans who've adopted "Mexican" style fighting.

Perhaps the golden era of Mexican boxing is dead and gone, who knows?
