Exactly this. Anytime Dubai gets brought up a possible venue it never ever happens. I'm convinced it's more of a bargaining manoeuvre than anything else when 'news' about it goes public.

Normally I would agree, but I think this has a chance of happening because Manny and Khan are not the same guys anymore. Both in terms of quality as fighters and drawing power, before that was a fight that had to be in the US. Now, it's fine being on TV here, Dubai will pay more money than what HBO or Showtime offer for that fight, plus whatever casino's offer.

I see what you mean but i'm still skeptical of these Dubai rumours until proven otherwise. Once there's a marquee event in Dubai then it would be more convincing. It doesn't have to be a massive fight just a decent world title fight between known fighters at least. I think there were rumours of Donaire-Quigg in Dubai that's a good start

It was on a popular British magazine, boxing monthly I think. They have a different boxer each issue, it's hardly pro Khan.
