Khan is so right in this case.

So many fighter would be undedeated if they cherry picked like mayweather has.. such an overated resume vs has beens c and d fighters. Guys way past prime.

So many people seem to have memory loss.

In reality people wanna be associated with a winner ,even a cowardly type ,and a fraudulent type. Floyd has s ome solid wins but never really challenged himself like the ATGs. He is a hall of famer imo but it stops there.

Who would go through Mayweather's resume undefeated?

Few fighters in history could go through Mayweather's resume undefeated. It gets more difficult to a find a fighter that could go through his resume undefeated when you consider their initial weight (fighters that started at 130lb) and their mileage (could they defeat x fighter 15 years into their professional career).

Comes a time where the hate needs to stop and people need to appreciate what a wonderful career he's had.

But the Gatti fight absolutely nobody thought Gatti had and chance NOBODY. And I bet Gatti himself knew(may he rest in peace) he had no shot.

So to say even some thought Gatti would KO him tells me you were not even following boxing back.

Anyone with half a brain knew that was a mismatch, but there are quite a few posters on boxing forums that have shown they aren't so bright. Some of these people convinced themselves Floyd was too delicate, and wouldn't be able to withstand the onslaught.

That's the definition of a cherry pick gone wrong. I remember Khan fanboys back then trying to pin their hopes on Prescott turning out to be a world beater. Yeah, right!

Whenever I watch the video, I always skip back to the ring entrance whenever I try watching the KO again. It's surprising how short the fight was.

The thing is, I think what it takes to be great is when the odds generally favor, YOUR OPPONENT.

I can't remember the last time Mayweather was not favored to win a fight. He's always had some sort of advantage going in, whether it was lack of ability in his opponents, or they were just not themselves anymore.

I forgot, how does that person go on to become great/legendary when he was expected to win?

Don't get that confused with people trying to come up with theories of HOW his opponent could win, vs actually betting your house on that opponent to win because you felt he had some miracle up his sleeve.
