Suppose when you look at it, Kovalev is fighting guys constantly away from home on neutral ground no home advantage whereas guys like Quigg constantly have Hearns promotion with commentary butthuggery of Jim Watt and co slurping over his 1inch knob the entire fight, Kovalev is making good guys look like absolutely nothing!
That's a credit in its own right, tough choice indeed.

So... Kovalev has an automatic advantage basically because his nationality? In short you said that. He fights in the USA because if he would have stayed in Russia, he would be probably still unknown.
Just in a few division you can do to stay in Europe without lose relevancy. Cruiser and Heavy come to my mind...

Exceptions if you are British or German with a huge home country fan base because those two markets are the centre of European market but Kovalev is neither German not Brit.
It's pretty understandable that Quigg won't travel to the USA if he can be relevant in the UK too because of the huge following there.

Povetkin, Drozd and Lebedev do well in Russia.

Up-and-comers from all the divisions fight in Russia (Bivol).

The poll needs more votes, usually there's more than 100
