    He let Canelo prepare, and he let Pacquiao prepare.

    When Floyd retires, it will be the end of a chapter in the book of boxing history. A new era is in the horizon and I don't know who the next face of boxing will be. Terence looks promising and I hope he carries the torch of boxing. Unlikely that Terence can fill the shoes of Floyd but right now, he is has the skills to carry on.

    pretty much, Haymon probably tells the prospective guys 2 months out to start training and get ready to sign the contract...

    So you either have:

    A) One fighter who knows he is picked and starts to assemble his gameplan, sparring partners etc

    or

    B) Multiples fighters doing the same thing, and with all but one wasting their time getting guys for sparring all lined up
