Really hope he's being smart with his financial planning for the future, would really hate to see this dude back in a ring at 45. He had a stellar career, accomplished more than anyone even he himself thought he would. Would be nice to see just one of these mega boxing stars not go broke or near broke. I think Lennox is the only one in recent memory, followed by Vitali.Comment

If people think Floyd wont do business with HBO again then they're incredibly naive. Floyd will retire after this Sept fight. Let the public/media stew on his retirement for a while, let them build up some young superstar that will FINALLY crack the Mayweather code and then he'll come back maybe May 2017 and let the networks bid for the rights to his fight. He wont solely give rights to just one network imo. He'll let anyone bid.Comment

Because as of right now there is no one on Mayweather's level, there probably never will be but if Mayweather waits a year after retiring and lets the public clamour for a 50th fight, maybe in that time, one of the young pretenders (Brook/Thurman/Khan/Porter/Bradley) will step up and make some waves in the WW division which none of them are doing right now. Neither of them pulling in big PPV numbers, neither of them are making any big statement wins so Mayweather is essentially in a lose lose situation if he fights any of these guys right now.Comment
