Stevenson purses are not published. But he should be making way more, considering he fights out of Quebec where there's money for boxing. Eg Kovalev made 3m+ vs Pascal there. Look at Stevenson pathetic ratings and gate since leaving HBO, tells the whole story

If u wanna go by gates then Kov's gate against this last Can was poor . Kathy was even complaining about it days before the fight . Damn near giving tickets away at 25 bucks a seat 24 hours before the fight . Not to mention the the seats that weren't directly on the ground level were sparsely attended to at best . Ok read about both . I'm convinced the Jay z/Haymon beef is real . Having said that , let me say this ; Garcia said that his last fight before he signed with Haymon he made 12,500.00 . After he signed with Haymon =Millions per fight . Haymon has this type of compensation plan for all his notable fighters . Now he has almost 200 fighters and do they ALL make Mills = No . As clearly they have to have some sort of star power to justify those type of paydays, but with that being said they still make more money than they would anywhere else and r on the fast track to stardom with uncle Al as he had a plethora of options to choose from . Now about Quillin saying no to the Korobov fight clearly at the behest of Al . Why not ? As a astute business mind Al has to turn his competitors lights out if he plans to stay on top , that's his job and Quillin should have been MORE than willing to help out , as he was and did . He'll make it up anyway , as Al will make sure of it . Quillin is a b.tch anyway with a glass jaw . He's been able to extend his lousy career under Al's protection , so he owes how rich he is all to uncle Al . Does anyone really look forward to Quillin fighting anyone anyway ? Alright thanks for the breakdown. I'm not trying to put a value judgement on Haymon, just telling you why Ward is unlikely for Stevenson. And yeah, I'm sure he gets paid better by Haymon, but he's getting much less in Canada ppv and gate money when he fights this type of comp. Another beautiful thing about Haymon . He's the face of boxing and damn near anyone can not only sign with him but also instantly make more money by doing it . Do u know how hard it is to get a major promoter to pick u up if no one knows u ? If u don't just ask Kovalev who kept getting passed over by Golden Boy and others before he finally caught a break with main events . Haymon is hands down the VERY BEST thing that has happened for boxers purses and careers . And as for boxing itself people try to pin all the ills of society on him but it's unfounded and a untenable position to assume . For instance Hbo is more to blame for Stevenson /Kov not happening but everyone just blames Haymon . Whether Stevenson went to Haymon for protection or for bigger purses or both , is that Haymon's fault ? I do know this , Haymon was prepared to bid but HBO / Duva backs out and Al still gets ALL the blame , unbelievable!
