Stevenson on HBO may not be an option either , as Al will clearly outbid HBO because of their frugal boxing budget . If Al out bids them , then HBO should let the chips fall where they may but we know they won't , so they BOTH miss out of what would probably be the best payday of both their lives.

What many don't realize... Duva is very smart to keep HBO happy. An exclusive contract with HBO is a huge thing for any fighter. And the way the purse bid hostile takeover thing was going down, the likelihood of Kov/******man being on HBO wasn't good. ******man/Haymon will come up with a skidillion excuses though. Hopefully not, but this has the clear potential of being a mini Floydie/Pacman standoff. Whatever you call it though, ******man and his people are the bad guys here. Not Kov and his peeps.

Uh dude, you've gotten lost along the way somewhere. There's no counter bid, Stevenson either fights more bums to flagging numbers, or fights Kovalev on HBO for way more money. And risk

A nurse on spike tv , that's a good one . I guess it's better than fighting a fashion model named Mohammadi on HBO , lol . Did u see that hat he wore into the ring ???
Anyway , Mohammadi was the most unconscionable CAN I may have ever seen in the ring in all my life . The worst part is Kov was CLEARLY trying to carry him into some latter round by not being too aggressive and by tapering off about half of his power but the coward just laid down talking bout his eye hurt . Laughable!

Sure that guy ****** but he's been mando for like a year and been getting paid to step aside. Did way better vs Cleverly than Karpency though. Anyway you don't wanna compare Kovalev vs Stevenson comp since he left Hbo

Counter bid ??? There wasn't even an initial bid remember, because Duva/HBO pulled out . Anyway I say all this to say , stop acting like Kovalev 's options r so plentiful while Stevenson's r all dried up . They can both fight Beterbiev although Stevenson has the inside track on that fight if he wants it for obvious reasons . They can both fight Ward but once again Stevenson probably has the inside track on that fight as well because I doubt Ward wants to fight the very best at 175 his first time fighting at 175 . Stevenson also has the inside track on a 2nd Fonfara fight if he wants it , while they both probably have equal footing with the newly arrived Cuban Gonzalez . Kov has the inside track on Pascal , but that's about it . So let's stop the pretend game like Kov has so many more options , cause he doesn't !

Sure I would , please lay out the #'s if u have them , as I would love to see them . Kov should have made more especially against Hopkins and Pascal because they r household names and former world Champs . But let's see the #'s of the other fights vs Stevenson's last couple.

Not even. Yvon Michel said he's not matching Stevenson with Beterbiev soon. Ward promoter has major beef with Haymon, where've you been? But its besides the point. Kovalev has an exclusive contract with HBO. Stevenson got nothing, just a chance to revive his flagging career vs Kovalev on HBO

Stevenson purses are not published. But he should be making way more, considering he fights out of Quebec where there's money for boxing. Eg Kovalev made 3m+ vs Pascal there. Look at Stevenson pathetic ratings and gate since leaving HBO, tells the whole story

I've been HEARING about this so-called beef between Rock Nation and Haymon , but where's the tangible substance behind it ? Maybe I missed something , but please feel free to fill me in if I did . Haymon has REAL beef with HBO , and we can point to the numerous problems , can we do the same for Rock Nations so called beef with Haymon ? Ward wants acclimatization at 175 before fighting the best at 175 (Kov) , and that's probably another reason he wanted GGG FIRST , because he hits like at least a 175 pounder . So where does Kov go from here ? Does he really run the risk of fighting Beterbiev so early and possibly get his train derailed although it's just getting started ? We will see I guess .
