Comments Thread For: Martinez-Salido II May Land on Mayweather vs. Berto

According reports in Puerto Rico, there is great interest from Mayweather Promotions in placing the Roman Martinez vs. Orlando Salido rematch on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather's upcoming return on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The frontrunner to face Mayweather is former champion Andre Berto, and the fight appears to be heading to Showtime Pay-Per-View.

In one of the better fights of 2015, Martinez captured the WBO super featherweight championship with a decision over Salido on April 11th.

lmfao this card is weak. Salido is a great warrior but way past prime.

I have to dissagree with you. He has everything to lose and nothing to gain, he already beat him and has the title. If the "juiced" version of Salido shows up, its back to square zero!

Salido-Martinez was one of the best fight this year so far, and I expect the rematch to be just as good. Salido is way past his prime but he can win.
