Fwiw I think it was kinda just bad luck/timing for Duva that she got outplayed with the Stevenson purse bid situation in her defense (& I'm not one to come to her defense often if you pay attention to my posts lol). She made her play pre-PBC. No one knew, in particular Duva, that Haymon was gonna start throwing around money like Tony Montana for fights. HBO was the only entity in play with the bank account & deals in place to make it happen initially. If she had made that move earlier the outcome might have been totally different or maybe Haymon has other **** up his sleeve idk.

        Ridiculously imbalance between risk/reward

It would be ****** and nuts for Duva to make this fight. Once Beterbiev actually becomes a name, and that's Haymon's job, then we're talking.

This is the same reason there's no noise about Stevenson vs Beterviev even though it could be made tomorrow
Beterbiev is already a name in Russia. In fact, there is probably no bigger fight to be made if you are going to hold it in Moscow. Yvon Michel made it very clear when he first signed Beterbiev that he would never fight Stevenson as long as they were both promoted by GYM. Both of them now being signed to Haymon as well just adds an extra guarantee to that. As for why Stevenson is not fighting Kovalev... just read Yvon Michel's statement for that information. I believe he makes it very clear.

I'll be shocked if Main Events present a fair offer and this fight gets made.

            Hope I'm wrong though.

too bad that hrunov guy isn't allowed to just pay fighters an insane amount so good fights could be made like kovalev-beterbiev. haymon pays fighters an insane amount for bad fights but i don't really like that for some reason.

I'll take it... although Beterbiev/Gonzalez would've been interesting too. I'd say after Kovalev owns Beterbiev, the best comeback fight for him would be Gonzalez. Wouldn't mind Kovalev/Fonfara too. Great time for the division.

And then there's ******man with more title fights vs the likes of Alvarez, Chilemba, Mohammedi, Oosthuizen. Anything easy, he'll sign the contract.

Who knows what HBO will want. The question in my mind is why the **** would Artur NOT want to be on the biggest network for boxing?? Come on, doesn't he want to be on HBO?
