So Duva gonna talk all that trash about Haymon and then ask for a fight?
Kovalev-Beterbiev next?

Still I want to see how Kovalev deals with Stevenson's power. If Kovalev beats both Ward and Stevenson, he must be no.1 P4P after Mayweather retires.stevenson's ship has sailed. that win over dawson that propelled him to p4p lists now looks comical and he had a very hard time with fonfara.
kovalev vs ward or beterbiev are more competitive fights... adonis needs to do something to get his name on the map again
those "business decisions" ducking hopkins pascal and kovalev back when they made their offers don't look so wise nowComment

Beterbiev most definitely is not ready for Kovalev (however, I do not think he or anyone else would EVER be) but he's still a top LHW and it would be a great win for Kovalev- ideally he would need far more pro experience but I don't think you could take the win away from Kovalev as a guy with as much amateur experience as Beterbiev cannot be called green, no matter how many pro fights he has. IMO
Beterbiev-Gonzalez-Stevenson-Ward: Are the fights Kovalev needs to round out his resume/career.
The most realistic option is Gonzalez, and I bet you he would travel to Russia for a payday after getting robbed how he did tonight. They should reward him with an offer. Kovalev would get credit for that victory, he looked good. Beterbiev-Stevenson-Pascal need to fight each other, if Kovalev were to fight Gonzalez next.Comment

ASK for a fight? Duva would be doing Haymon a favor if he cares about his fighters.
As much as I cannot stand her, I bet you her response to that would be: "Fine, your guy can stay irrelevant"
Do you know what a potential victory over Kovalev would do for Beterbiev? That fight has 3 championship belts and P4P implications. If Haymon was truly interested in the best interest of his fighters, he would not give a f**k about what Duva said about him, because I am 10000% sure Beterbiev does not give a crap and would want the fightComment

I would love to see it, but yeah Artur definitely needs more pro experience.
I would favor Artur against basically anyone else in that division and I can't wait to take some points from the people that actually think Fonfara would beat him
.
This fight also needs some build up. Two big punchers, it would be an explosive fight!!
Artur is the hardest puncher in amateur boxing history! I've never seen someone react the way opponents did against Artur in the amateurs, when getting hit with bigger gloves.
No need to explain Sergey's power, you guys should already have a taste of it. Artur still needs to prove his.
It would be a mistake to have Artur fight Sergey this soon. There is still a lot of questions he needs to answer as a pro.
This is will be the mega fight of the 175 weight class in the near future.Comment

No need for Ward. He really is nothing compared to the other three. If there was a tournament, I cannot see Ward managing to get one win out of the bunch. He simply does not have the power to be a threat to a LHW.Beterbiev-Gonzalez-Stevenson-Ward: Are the fights Kovalev needs to round out his resume/career.Comment

I agree and I want Stevenson fight to happen first and foremost, for months and years, but hey I can't do anything about it.
Adonis-Kovalev would not even be competitive, IMO. Adonis is a plodder and basically has one big punch-with no boxing skills to back it up (not to mention a very shaky chin) Kovalev has as solid a defense a fighter with his style can have and I don't think he'll have a problem avoiding Adonis' big punch, he'll blind Adonis with his jab and as soon as Adonis feels his power, he will be in survival mode.Comment

That's one hell of a dangerous fight to have as a homecoming, but it'd make for a pretty big event. It makes sense. Kovalev vs Beterbiev in Russia surely draws more interest than in the USA.Comment

Kovalev's about that greatness/legacy. A true throwback fighter, he wants to be great, which is what will bring him the title "GOAT LHW" when it's all said and done. No doubt.Comment
