Would Andre Ward be able to take Kovalev all 12 rounds when they fight?

Would be the toughest match out for both guys.

Ward would have a far tougher night with Kovalev than he would Golovkin.

Kovalev is much bigger and is actually athletic to go along with it.

I thought Ward was the bully? Don't bullies try to pick fights with smaller guys?

If Ward's team starts running off at the mouth about facing Kovalev at a CW, have at it.

Some of you guys just don't get it.

This past week with all the Ward-GGG fuckery wasn't an indictment on GGG as a fighter or his bravery, it's people calling out Sanchez and Loeffler for popping off about their terminator-killer giving anybody the bizness from 54-68, and then throwing a CW into the discussion in regards to Ward.

Anyway, as far as the topic at hand, I picked Ward to win in Beerfaces thread, I don't think he is stopping Kovalev in the process of doing so, so Ward by D.

            This. Lol.

What a joke. Like I've been saying..... The people with these double standards are simply those who cannot STAND to see Golovkin getting love/attention (for some reason) and desperately want him to lose ASAP.

Why cant ward fight ggg at 168 before moving up? What's wrong with that scenario?

I do think Kovalev is a great fighter, but he gets really over valued on here. People act like Pasqual was a meaningful win. Well, last night proves what I was saying about Pasqual having not been relevant for years. Kovalev is another guy who looks greater than he is because his competition is marginal.
Let me get this straight here...

Kovalev gets overvalued here but Ward, who has fought THREE times in FOUR years, twice against drained fighters and the third time against a guy who was overweight, out of shape and coming off two losses in a row, is not?

And Pascal who has fought over twice as much as Ward, SEVEN times to THREE, including three fights against opponents Ward ducked, has not been relevant for years while Ward who sits at a commentary chair on HBO and who most people thought had retired is more relevant to the sport?

Dude... lay off the drugs or the booze this early on Sunday morning. It's rotting your mind!

A 50-year-old man lasted all 12 rounds with him but Andre Ward can't?

I'm going to win a lot of e-points from bets when this fight happens. Can't wait!

He can, but why can't GGG fight Canelo (after Lemieux) before fully moving up to 168 to fight Ward?

Well at the moment Golovkin has fights lined up that are much more interesting and valid to his goals than moving up to fight Ward. If Ward wants to wait in line until after the Lemieux fight and after the winner of Cotto/Canelo and probably a Lee fight, he is welcome to do just that. Not that he will have any guarantee to get a fight because by that time, Golovkin will be undisputed, unified MW world champion and Ward will be a distant B side.

If Ward wants that fight, he will have to get busy building his brand back up to give Golovkin a reason to fight him. And you do not do that by fighting the Paul Smiths of the world. Ward should work on unifying the SMW titles to give GGG a reason to move up.

No one needs to fight Ward. Ward on the other hand is in serious need of a decent opponent to get his status moving again.
