True. I think Beterbiev is more dangerous to Ward than Kovalev and maybe it's an unpopular opinion yet but I think Beterbiev is better than Kovlev. Same tough but more well rounded and has better defence.

People here act like they've never watched boxing before this year. I don't see anything in Kovalev that says he clearly beats Andre Ward. He couldn't put away a nearly 50 year old Hopkins, no way is he walking through Ward. Ever heard of the fight where Andre schooled Carl Froch with one good hand?

I do think Kovalev is a great fighter, but he gets really over valued on here. People act like Pasqual was a meaningful win. Well, last night proves what I was saying about Pasqual having not been relevant for years. Kovalev is another guy who looks greater than he is because his competition is marginal.

Ward would pretty much have to perform a punch perfect fight to win. He is very good defensively but with his inside style he can get caught on the way in, even if it's just a grazing right hand on the top of the head I think he will be in serious trouble.

Sad thing is Ward would ask for this to happen in Oakland and Kovalev likely wouldn't give a **** and fight him there instead of going to a bigger venue where they could attract a highest number of viewers in a stadium.

I don't know If Ward wants to fight bigger men after two years out, I do think Ward could certainly cause a problem or two maybe even score a knockdown or two.
