This is true. He tried to get that KO badly and couldn't. Not a knock on Kovalev as some Anti-Kovalev fans have tried to spin it as (he couldn't ko a 50 year old man).

No, this is simply credit to B-Hop. If Kovalev couldn't Ko him, nobody can. You just simply cannot take that away from Hopkins. His defense + more than average chin = Nobody can knock him out. You can hope that he fights till age 55, and his bones get too fragile to the point that someone breaks them and gets the TKO. That's the only way.

And Ward fought only b+ caliber European fighters in Abraham and Kessler and b++ in Froch. Rest are bigger tomato cans than GGG ones...

Ward's resume is better than Kovalev's.
