why i belive cotto will beat golovkin

I like Cotto but Golovkin wrecks him.

Cotto has been carefully matched for a few years now too. Cotto now is the same guy who was schooled by Austin Trout. Margarito was done and i'm not even convinced Cotto would have won if it wasn't stopped due to the eye, Margarito was getting to him and you could see Cotto was looking uncomfortable. Which really good fighter has he really beaten in years? Don't say Sergio "Stephen Hawking" Martinez. He is very carefully matched apart from fighting Floyd (and lost) and wouldn't last 4 rounds with Golovkin.

Ever since the Trout loss, Cotto has been carefully matched up. This is the first fight since the Trout fight where he will have to earn it. Everyone after the Trout fight thought Cotto was done fighting at the top level. As far as Im concerned, the question still remains if he can still hang with the big boys. If he beats Canelo, then you can definitely say hes "back" and that the so called Roach experiment has worked.

Why cotto cant beat golovkin. Cotto has fooled alot of people with the type of opponents he fought post trout. Cotto is a solid fighter as a welterweight, his power was not good enough to hurt those with reflexes to see it coming or those with a chin tucked defense, martinez on 1 leg lasted 10 rounds. You mention angles like " he uses on marg 2" . Golovkin is a bigger, stronger marg with a educated stiff jab and a understanding of distance that comes with his all his fight experience... Cotto does not hve the foot speed to out box golovkin, marg just followed him around and pinned him to the ropes. Golovkin will use his jab to force cotto into the corners and unload his precise combinations. Cottos defense is still suspect as well as his chin (mayweather hurt him bad) now his defense looked solid his last few fights because the type of opponents he been facing allow him to be the boss, they are trying to stay out of range and box from the outside, cotto at this weight has much faster feet then anyo e geale and ect have been in with so he can dart in and out as he pleases getting out of range, (same advantage pacman had over slow welterweights) but now with golovkin he will be the boss, hes the much bigger stronger fighter, this is not even a fight, cotto is no middleweight. also will never happen, Canelo beats cotto
