Good fight, but they need a monster card for a PPV. I guess Oscar will have to provide us that because K2 does not have a deep stable. Lemieux was best case scenario for GGG. It gives him a legit opponent while awaiting the winner of Cotto vs. Canelo.Comment

White America never backed Calzaghe. What do we make of that?
White American never back Felix Sturm or Marco Huck? Why?
So now (you say) White America is backing GGG and they're racist?
Outside of the Eastern European community (here in NY) I don't see GGG having a fan base.
If you were correct then casual white boxing fans would be flocking to GGG (and have, in the past flocked to Sturm or Huck or WK) and they never did.
Maybe you're the one projecting my friend.Comment

At what point does he stop being "hype?" I'm not saying he's a TOP 20 middleweight of all time - not even close. But he's the best middleweight out there fighting all the other middleweights available.
Quillin and Martinez are the only top names he has not fought. He hasn't ducked them or had his career manipulated to avoid them - so, where's the hype?
Oh - you mean he has a fan base - therefore he's hyped? Jean Pascal has a fan base. Is he hyped?
What makes GGG a white hype? It's not as if there aren't plenty of white fighters doing very well. And why is it that some white guys (me) don't like some white fighters (the Klitshkos, Huck) if we supported GGG simply due to his skin color?
By the way - if my grandparents had moved to Argentina or Mexico I would still be white (Latino is culture) and there are plenty of white fighters from those countries.Last edited by bklynboy; 07-26-2015, 11:20 AM.Comment

Ward not fighting Kovalev isn't ducking to you?
Hypocrites, we see the trend....don't worry, Floyd is signing a 3 fight extension so Ward doesn't have to become your Mayweather surrogate just yet.Comment
