  • Good news. I'm curious how much Lemieux is getting paid, if it's on PPV it's because HBO couldn't afford the purse.

    • HBO will market this and the Canelo vs Cotto fight as a mini playoff for 160. The Canelo fight will help the GGG PPV numbers

      • Great. Now I have to listen to this coward's fans pretend like Lemieux wasn't punched out by Rubio and outboxed by Alcine for the next 3 months.

Can't wait for this to bomb on PPV. No one will pay to watch this coward.

          floyd is fighting on sho.

canelo - cotto will proably harm it, i agree.

ggg - lemieux is a test of ggg's starpower. it's a foreplay before the canelo and ward fights.
And they were all established world superstars with audiences and audiences that buy ppvs. Whether u like it ir not, thats what matters. And that still doesn't change the point that THIS fight doesn't belong on ppv.

Major step closer to becoming the undisputed middleweight champion of the world if he wins, so indirectly it does quite a lot for his resume.

Lessee GGG vs Lemieux, then Soro in Monaco, then Andy Lee for the WBO belt.

Resume resume f'kin resume. Just enjoy the fight and stop projecting into the future.

                  • it won't be ppv here in the uk so i don't care, but if i was american i'd expect at least one other top level fight on the card to justify its price

                    i'm anticipating 200k-250k buys

My bet is they both have small guarantees with high upside.

Which is why hbo doesn't mind doing this on ppv, no one is trying to make bank here, it's more About getting the fight to the fans, and building GGG as a star that others will fight.
