  • I'm really excited for the fight, but my only problem is this will make GGG/Ward that much harder down the line. This could do 50k and it'd still be 50k more than Ward has ever done. If you thought Golovkin's team was full of primadonas towards Ward before PPV just wait til after.

You're not wrong - bad photo choice.

Floyd is who he is, ppl know him, ppl watch him. It's a crap fight and a crap ppv. But he will do his numbers because he has an audience. What a lot of u idiots refuse to understand is ppv isn't and has never been about us hardcore fans. It's about casuals. I buy ppv quite regularly, but for most it's never been about how great a fight is or isnt, it's about who cares. And there isn't any ppl who care about this fight. It should be on HBO. Whether u like it or not.

        • This will be pure fireworks. Two guys who only fight one way...full steam ahead to take your head off. This is one of those fights where you guaranteed to get your money's worth.

          • called it.

            i'm basically a sage.
in seriousness, i did call it and i am a sage.

this will actually be a decent opponent, believe it or not, boyos. lemieux is talented, and has power. a lot of the golovking detractors question his defense, and how well he'll do against a potent fighter. he has not fought many great offensive fighters. stevens had some power... but he's curtis freaking stevens!

he lost to rubio by stppage, and alcine in by decision. a lot of people thought he might be done with boxing after the alcine fight. i was there with them.

he beat the hell out of rosado, and beat ndam, a decent fighter. he's on an OK run, considering how poor that division is, and how hard it is to get fights with the smaller cash cows [canelo and cotto.]

golovkin detractors won't be able to ask, "what's going to happen when his leaky defense goes up against a puncher?" lemiuex is not a world beater, but the dude can freaking punch. he's an explosive guy.

              Nice. Hadn't seen that quote.

Given what's awaiting him, I wouldn't expect too much in the way of his opponent for this one if he fights here.

@ PPV though. What are they thinking?
Maybe HBO's gonna see if GGG is a ppv draw.

This is very true. How many other bigger punchers are out there who hit harder then Lemieux? If Golovkin handles his shots well. Yikes. You will have to put on a MASTERFUL 12 round boxing performance to win- or flat out kill him.

                  Sorry Canelo/Cotto

                  • For guys who can throw brutal punches, they have method to their madness, but it will still be a WAR while it lasts! I suspect that GGG being a little more refined will come out the winner. All action!

                    • Golovkin should dominate and stop Lemieux, but all the same big respect to Lemieux for having the cajones to face GGG. Unlike Cotto and Quillin, who are cowards that have blatantly ducked Golovkin.
