I'm curious to hear what you all think. What would your boxer's strategy be to beat Wlad?

Try to beat him up in the clinch. And be willing to take punches to get close. Pretty much what maidana did in the first floyd fight. you probably wont outbox him unless you have size and experience.

Given the fact that pretty much every heavyweight is a joke in the skills department except for Wlad, I would say go balls out and go for the chin. It has worked for subpar fighters before, and nobody out there is going to win through any other method than to exploit Wlad's lack of durability.

What if you could "build a perfect boxer" to take on Wlad? What do you think your guy would need to beat him?

Low blow him then give him a left hook while he reaches for his nutsack.

I would say someone no shorter than 6 feet tall with comparable physical strength or better, good defense/head movement, good stamina, who can past Wlad's comfort zone and pressure him. Wlad cannot handle a brisk pace for 12 rounds, nor can he handle sustained punishment. The guy needs to be at least 6 feet because too much shorter and he will be suffering too much of a severe disadvantage in reach and height to effectively pressure Wald consistently. He needs to have comparable physical strength so that when Wlad goes for clinches and pushing the head down when in close, he is able to negate those tactics to a reasonable degree and continue the pressure. Lastly, he is going to need good defense and head movement in order to get through Wlad's effective range without taking excessive damage.

A guy like Wilder isn't a terrible option either. He has good power, seemingly a decent chin, and his size and reach are comparable. He is not as good as Wlad so he will not beat him tactically or on points, but he will have a good chance as a puncher.
