So it went something like this:

Haymon's lawyer: The deal will allow PBC to "buy" the fighters in question by paying GBP an agreed-upon fee for each fighter signed, and can do so starting immediately upon the signing of this deal.

      Oscar: Right

      Haymon: Sounds good to me.

Oscar: But you'll consider working with us in some cases to allow us to promote bouts involving these fighters, right? I mean, even though it's not in the contract.

      Haymon: Sure, whatever.

Oscar's lawyer: I'll that that as an affirmative statement.

      Haymon's lawyer: Sure, whatever.

And you're hostile towards him because he's black, what's the difference? I swear some of you guys are just upset that someone in your family is dating a black guy or something.

LOL yea this is basically how I'd envision this going down myself. Wtf is an "affirmative statement" in regards to legal contracts & *****. If there was something legally binding in an affirmative statement here it'd be much more descriptive in the services that would be provided or what exactly an affirmative statement required of both parties. The whole reason to sign a contract is to spell out, in detail, each sides contributions & expectations moving forward.

Like boxing is teetering on the brink of destruction right now tonight & if the WBO were to create a Super Champion or PBC created a belt it all comes tumbling down

Some of ya'll mfers crazy as *****.
The point is that with all the boxers and created belts, they could have their own refs for fights and new scoring structure, essentially turning "boxing" into something similar to WWE. Is that the kind of sport you want to watch?

There would be no affiliation with any boxing organization at all. All they need to do is make sure their guys pass medical exams and that's it. Provide in-house refs, staged fights, storylines, etc.

I don't think you could have your own refs cuz pro boxing would still need to conform to a state or national boxing commission. The UFC has a league setup & while I think they have more juice with making commission changes than pro boxing does, based on the new PED policy in Nevada, they aren't able to circumvent the ref & scoring system (much to Dana's dismay on some bad stoppage or bad decision nights).

I think the affiliation to multiple corrupt alphabet groups now is pretty bad which is why I'm not opposed to anyone attempting new things in boxing. Boxing needs some new things to happen. The wrestling stuff you keep bringing up is lost on me in this discussion. I don't think losing the WBC, WBO, IBF & WBA would drive professional boxing into some weird professional wrestling territory & I got no clue why you thinking losing the corrupt elements of the sport would make it fake.
