Danny Garcia is in a win-win vs Paulie

If Garcia KO's Paulie then they (mostly his fans) will say he's a beast at 147 and that he is one of the best.

If Paulie survives and Garcia wins a decision (which we know he will if it goes the distance cause the cards are pre filled) then they will say it was a good fight and Garcia outboxed a REJUVENATED aka roided Paulie since he hooked up with Memo. Thus making Garcia a top WW.

if he beats paulie easily, then he gets little or no credit because paulie is shot; if he struggles, then he gets torn apart for once again struggling in what's supposed to be an exhibition match

I don't see it. Maybe if the Porter fight didn't happen, maybe.

But Garcia is and should be held to a higher standard.

Have to disagree. It's lose-lose. He has to get a early, dominant KO if he wants fans to take him seriously again, and if he does, well that's what he had to and should do if he's as good as people once thought.

If he struggles at all, he will hear it badly. He isn't a big enough name to have a casual fan base that drowns out hardcore boxing fans.

It's fine if he doesn't stop him, but he has to win convincingly. If he struggles and ekes out another decision, he's getting blasted, and he'll once again deserve it.

              wrong...

winning against a fighter like feather-fisted paulie malignaggi doesn't do anything to a fighter's resume.

paulie is a tomato can and fighting him is nothing but a tune-up.

It's a lose/lose in my opinion. He's either KOing or winning/struggling to a decision, against a boxing commentator.

If he wants to be as big as he is in his and his daddy's head he needs to step up the competition, who's he gonna fight next Larry Merchant?

This. If it turns out like Donaire/Darchinyan 2 where Vic was doing very well before getting stopped, then Garcia is not ready for WW. IDC if Paulie has the style to make Garcia look bad because he has no chance of getting the W. Matts/Herrera/Peterson couldn't "beat" Garcia, but Paulie is? Are people forgetting how Paulie looked against Cano? lol. Paulie will come up short (again) and hopefully retire to the commentator's booth.

On one hand I can see Paulie boxing well, giving Danny fits. On the other hand I cant see Paulie winning a decision even if he boxes Dannys ears off.
