Ward and Kov have proven themselves against top tier competition while GGG has not. Part of it is fighters avoiding GGG. Part of it is GGG's choice of opposition when he doesn't get the fight he wants.

The natural progression for Ward would be to fight GGG, win and then fight Kov.

Ward and GGG should be fighting next. Kov and Stevenson should have completed the purse bid and the winning bidder should be choosing the venue.

Anything else is GGG/Kov fans trying to manipulate the natural progression in the hopes GGG never has to fight Ward.

Wait, wait, wait. So the natural progression for Ward is to fight the smaller man who has no impact in his division and then move up.... but the natural progression for Golovkin is to NOT fight the lineal champion of his division and THEN move up for Ward?!!?!?

Larry. You should know discussions between two camps mean absolutely nothing. Look what happened with Adonis-Kovalev two years ago.


We do not know ANYTHING until Ward comes out and calls out Kovalev and in his own words says "I want that fight!," no talking about weight, hypothetical situations, if's and's or buts. Just a straight up call out. That has yet to happen.
