Kovalev vs Ward

Ward's in a tough spot. The two main guys that he built his name off have retired. He spent almost 2 years of his prime in the court room. There's a fellow gold medalist with a title in his division who seems to have no interest in fighting Andre in the foreseeable future. There's a fight to be made with a guy in a lower weight class, but he has things to take care of before he does.

If he fought Kovalev in 2 months, I think he'd lose. If he had a year to grow into LHW, fought one or two guys like Fonfara or Pascal, I think he would outsmart Kovalev.

Andre Ward because I think he would be able to engage in a gameplan that B-hop would have been able to do in his younger days, he will have a better tank on him and will possibly have better conditioning than Kovalev and down the stretch that I think might win it for him by decision a close one though.

I don't know really, we've not seen him take punches off someone as heavy handed and intelligent as Kovalev but I still rate Wards chin being pretty good I think he can take it and he will look to make this a very technical fight.
Ofcourse their will be hugging absolutely no doubt that its just whether the referee stands for it happening or not.

Can't see Ward wanting to fight Kovalev over GGG though, take whatever size advantage you can get because you wont have it against Kovalev.

I never understood why is that important.
You want to call out the ones who predict it wrong after the fight is done or what? What's the meaning of "public polls"?
If somebody really wants to tell his opinion than he will, as I did and others did too in this thread. If somebody doesn't want to word it then he won't. So I don't know what plus information you gain if it's a public poll.
