You're right, let Ward come down to 160lbs like he had Dawson do for him at 168.

Don't we always hear how Ward's not much bigger than Golovkin? He only rehydrates to 176lbs? Doesn't Ward want to be great and expose the hype job?

It goes both ways. Ward wants to have the size advantage over Golovkin.

Like Golovkin does with Cotto? Which is a much greater size difference. Golovkin can't back up what he, his team and fans have been saying for years about fighting anyone upto 168.

I'm a GGG fan, but I can't defend this. He should keep fighting at middleweight and just keep his mouth shut if he doesn't want Ward at 168. He comes off looking bad here.

What's funny is the size difference between Golovkin and Kovalev is less than the size difference between Golovkin and Mayweather. Golovkin's gullible groupies will demand a match with Mayweather, demand that Ward fights Kovalev, cry about Golovkin fighting Ward, and stay silent on the possibility of a Golovkin and Kovalev match up.

Golovkin's record is piss poor. Why is there no demand for him to take on challenges and prove himself?

Cotto's a coward for not wanting to fight Golovkin.

                  Wards wanting a size advantage.

Oh well, so much for being the "most feared fighter." GGG is still in good position if he gets the Lemieux fight, followed by Cotto vs. Canelo winner! Ward might as well try to speed up the talks going for Kovalev:

On a teleconference this week promoting Kovalev-Mohammedi, Main Events CEO Kathy Duva, who promotes Kovalev, was asked about it and she sounded optimistic.

"We have been talking to Andre Ward's people all week,” she said. “And I think we all agree the fight is going to happen. It is just a matter of when. The talks have been very amicable. They are deciding who they want to fight next, and we have Sergey's schedule for his next few fights planned. By the end of next year, maybe a little sooner, you’re going to get to see that fight.

I wonder if Roc Nation will do business with Haymon. Would love to see Ward vs. Fonfara, Beterbiev, Stevenson. Maybe Arum will set up Ward vs. Gilberto Ramirez @ 168? That would be nice for 2015!

Golovkin made it clear, if Cotto let go of the WBC MW title he wouldn't pursue that fight. That's not a double standard sorry.

And why the hell is it Andre Ward fans/GGG haters cling to dear life on the "Anybody from 168-154" statement, but slide on the:
                      • "I'll fight Flody at 160"
                      • "I'll go up to LHW for the right fight"
                      • "Chavez is a tough fight/Froch is picking Chavez because he's an easy option"
                      • "Bute/Stevenson are hype and need to prove themselves/Golovkin is hype I'll expose him"

And what do you mean greater size difference?
                      160 - 154 = 6 lbs
                      168 - 160 = 8 lbs
                      168 - 164 = 4 lbs
